Building a Pipeline has many challenges

I photographed this scene on Aug-06-2023. Looking south, the Turner Valley Gas Plant is a few kilometers away, on the other side of the hill.

I’ve pasted a few paragraphs, that are shown below. They are near the end of the article.

The headline for this story was >

Carney asks Danielle Smith to do him a solid — she wants payback

On Tuesday, Bloc politicians say Carney is selling out to the oil companies. Quebec will not be happy.  When is Quebec ever happy?

Some Indigenous leaders are pushing back. Some self-styled deep thinkers are saying this is an assault on democracy.

So, some groups of people – don’t like pipelines. Decided to use my creative skills to create 3 images – that show alternate methods of moving oil to markets… 🙂

Like many cities that have bike lanes, our Prime Minister could sign an “executive order” to create a “wheelbarrow” lane along the TransCanada Highway.

I’ve pasted a paragraph, that are shown below. It’s near the middle of the article.

The headline for this story was >

Alberta premier says province is looking to entice private-sector pipeline builder

The Trans Mountain pipeline has been running at about 85 per cent of its capacity of 890,000 barrels a day. That could be taken further to 1.14 million barrels a day with the help of drag-reducing chemical additives and additional pumping horsepower.

Moving 890,000 barrels a day, we need 890,000 people – each carrying a heavy oil drum on their back. All they have to come back to Alberta with their drums empty – and fill again the next day. I know – it’s a sad and stupid situation.

Guess we could ask the Bloc in Quebec – to see what great ideas they have…

And those “self-styled deep thinkers” – are just bubbling over with solutions.
